A grandson to Charles C. Gardner was born on July 24, 1927. He was christened John Robert Gardner.

Dr. Alexander Quackenboss, who has maintained an office for many years at 143 Newbury St., Boston, has removed to 25 Marlborough St.

Nellie Presby, who, the class will recall, attended the Twenty-fifth Reunion with her father, is living in Newport, N. H. She is now Mrs. S. H. Edes.

The dedication of the new B. C. Piers at Vancouver, B. C., on July 4, 1927, was made the occasion of appropriate exercises, attended by many high dignitaries and representatives of different cities of the Dominion. Sydney E. Junkins, whose company designed and constructed the Piers, presented the keys to Mayor Louis D. Taylor, who turned over the control to C. A. Cotterel, general superintendent of the British Columbia lines. These Piers, erected at a cost of $6,000,000 and rated the second largest in the world, mark a milestone in Vancouver's industrial development, Mr. Junkins took a pleasure trip this fall with Hon. Dr. King, one of the Dominion cabinet ministers. Starting from Vancouver, B. C., they penetrated ISOO miles into the Peace River district, traveling by train, motor, canoe, and steamer.

Lieut. R. Moralles Arthur, son of Sidney Arthur, has been ordered to the Panama Zone. Lieut. Arthur has been stationed at Fort Preble, Portland, Me., for several years.

Clyde Buckley, son of our deceased classmate, is now located at 748 Linden Ave., Cleveland, Ohio.

Fred A. Howland, with his wife and daughter Sylvia, crossed the continent in September and spent a day in Vancouver, meeting classmate Junkins.

Prof. Fordyce P. Cleaves, who attended the reunion of his class, remained in New England during the summer, visiting relatives, friends, and classmates, and returned to California in late September.

Charles L. Carpenter, vice-president and general manager of the Central Aguirre Sugar Company, who was at the Mary Hitchcock Hospital, Hanover, for treatment during the spring and summer, left the hospital in September, very much improved in health.

Fred A. Fernald, recently deceased, left an estate of $120,000, according to his will. The bulk of it goes to his sister, Hattie F. Rand of Somerville, Mass.
