The average age of the present freshman class according to statistics compiled recently, is 18.39 years, while its youngest member is only 15 years, 8 months and 3 days old. A survey of the average ages of the freshman classes for the last five years shows that the present first-year men are tied for the record of being the oldest class, the class of 1928 alone having tied them.

The average age of the freshman classes of the last six years is as follows: 1925, 18.31; 1926, 18.35; 1927, 18.38; 1928, 18.39; 1929, 18.22; 1930, 18.39.
