Vermont 4—Dartmouth 2

Captain Fogg, of Vermont, took revenge upon the Dartmouth team for the defeat he had received in their first encounter of the season and on Memorial Day at Burlington held the Hanover nine to four hits and led his team to a 4 to 2 victory. Van Riper again starting on the moynd for Dartmouth lasted but one inning, Gibson taking up the pitching assignment after Vermont had scored two runs on two hits and had two men on bases. Dartmouth drew abreast of the Vermont score in the fourth inning but the Green Mountaineers added two more runs in the following session and gave Fogg support which held the Green in check.
