The following is clipped from the Bulletin of the Dartmouth College Club of New York:
"For persistent traveling the Croix ae Guerre (with pineapple blossoms) goes to Hank Haserot. Undaunted by his Maldemerish trip to the land of hula hula. Hank is now on his way towards the boulevards and the unter den lindens.'
"That city slickers had best beware wnen tampering with lads who cut their eye teeth on the book agents of Hanover, proved by Maurice Blake s experience. Driving through New York back to ville where he teaches at Hotchkiss, Maurice left his car for a moment unguarded. When he returned his suitcase was missing. Scarcely enough time elapsed after reporting the loss for the thief to get to the nearest pawn shop where he was taken in tow by John Law. Maurice has the suitcase back, and the light-fingered youth can think it over for six months on the Island."

Your Secretary was fortunate enough to attend the Secretaries' Meeting in Hanover last May. As usual, of late, the town was much ripped up. The striking thing is the change caused by the removal of Butterfield and the building of the Library. This is the biggest change in the appearance of the campus since we left Hanover. I saw Harry Wells and his faithful dog. Harry is either exercising or dieting. Andy Scarlett seemed happy to be back in Hanover and not mourning for California, although he enjoyed his sabbatical year there.
Harold Robinson was still in Paotingfu at last reports. In recent newspaper accounts this has been one of the important centers of the fighting, but foreigners in the city were reported as safe.
