L. C. Milliken '28, of Melrose, Mass., was awarded the Barrett gold medal, the gift of John Barrett '89, and will have his name engraved on the All-Round Achievement Cup which remains in the possession of the College. Milliken was chosen by the three upper classes as giving the greatest promise of becoming a factor in the outside world through his strength of character and qualities of leadership, record of scholarship and broad achievement, and his influence among his fellows.

As a freshman, he played on the yearling hockey team and was secretary of his class, holding the latter position throughout the four years. He is a member of Green Key, Palaeopitus, Occom Council, the Athletic Council and manager of baseball. He prepared for Dartmouth at Phillips Andover Academy.
