As this issue went to press, Dartmouth's plucky track team pulled one of the biggest surprises of the outdoor season by whipping a great dual combination from Pennsylvania by two points. The final score was 681/3 to 66½.

The meet was one of those see-saw affairs which left the spectators breathless. All the color of intercollegiate track was jammed into a single afternoon, with the final event of the program deciding the outcome. The 880-yard run swung the balance of points to Dartmouth's favor when Ed Ripley '29 by a superhuman effort tied Saxer of Penn at the tape. A more complete account will be given in the next issue of the MAGAZINE.
