During the session of the National Council of Congregational Churches, held in Detroit May 28 to June 4, a luncheon was held for alumni of Dartmouth and their wives. Our class was represented by the largest delegation, composed of the following: Rev. and Mrs. W. J. Campbell, Atlanta, Ga.; Rev. "Bob" Falconer, Nutley, N. J.; H. B. Preston, Henniker, N. H.; and Mrs. I. W. Stuart of Detroit. All these were delegates to the Council. At other times aside from the formal luncheon, the group enjoyed renewal of old-time friendships, and found much of common interest in their memories of college life a quarter of a century ago.

At the Commencement of Culver-Stockton College at Canton, Mo., on May 28, the degree of Doctor of Letters was conferred on Charles Frederick Eichenauer, editor, of Quincy, Ill., in recognition of distinguished service in the field of journalism. Born in Warsaw, Ill., he received the degree of A.B. with us in 1905, and he also has an LL.B. from Chicago-Kent College of Law. From 1909 to 1926 he was connected with the Quincy Daily Herald, occupying positions from reporter to editor. In the latter year he effected the consolidation of the three papers in Quincy into one, the Quincy Herald-Whigand Journal, of which he is editor. From the Hills of Norwich comes the following: "We are now living up the hill beyond the Taylor place, in what is known as the 'Ray' farm. It has a wonderful view of Hanover, and I hope you can look it over with me." Undoubtedly C. C. includes in that invitation any and every member of the class who may get back to Hanover.

John H. Bell has left Darlington Seminary and has been studying at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where in June he received in course the degree of Master of Education.

Jake Smith and wife are at his old home in Smithtown, N. H., on the Lafayette Turnpike, just out of Newburyport, where they are prepared to accommodate overnight guests. I dropped in for a few minutes to see Jake early in July and found the pink, blue, and grey paint fairly flying, as Jake was experimenting in color combinations on the different rooms.

Rufus Day was abroad in July on business, and his boy, Emerson, is at school in Germany for the summer. For the rest of the summer Rufus' address will be in Hanover, where he and his family are occupying the same house which they had last summer.
