Mrs. Nellie Elizabeth Chapman Watkins, widow of Dr. H. R. Watkins, who died February 18 after an operation in a Boston hospital, was found dead in the bathroom of her home in Burlington, Vt., Monday, April 14. Before her marriage to Dr. Watkins she was a nurse in the Mary Fletcher Hospital, graduating in 1893. Her only son, Eustace, died as the result of an oil explosion at Monterey, Cal., in 1924.
Wilfred D. Whittemore, son of Fred A. Whittemore, was a recent visitor at Hanover, where reside his mother, Ida Whittemore, and her two children. Mr. Whittemore is connected with the International Banking Corporation of New York city, and is in charge of the San Francisco bank, where he has been for the past three years. Previously he was for several years in their bank in China.
A recent newspaper item says: "Warren F. Gregory of Lothrop, Lee, and Shepard will be one of the guests of honor at the Bay State May breakfast of the New England Woman's Press Association on May 7, at Hotel Victoria, Boston. His subject will be 'Authors of New England.' "
