On January 1, Dan C. Richardson of the Western Electric Company was retired, according to a letter received by the Secretary under date of December 24, 1930. Mr. Richardson expected to be connected with the Dartmouth National Bank, reporting on January 18. His family, however, will not go to Hanover until around the first of May.
On December 20, 1930, Willis O. Smith and Mrs. Verna F. Pierce, teacher of mathematics and dean of girls at Keene High School were married in the parsonage of the First Congregational church by Rev. Edward H. Newcomb. The single ring service was used. Among others present at the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. Almon Smith, parents of the groom, and his daughters, Misses Amalie and Anna Smith. Mrs. Smith has taught in New Hampshire for many years, and before her connection with Keene High School was dean of girls at the Plymouth and Berlin High Schools.
Carson Abijah Smith, M.D., early in November, 1930, moved from Weston, Vt., to Strafford, Vt., to engage in the practice of his profession in the latter town.
