OTHER LECTURES

This past month has presented us with several other interesting lectures. Ex-Governor Charles Tobey of New Hampshire discussed "The Problems of a Governor," and urged students to turn to politics where there is obviously a dearth of good men.

The vision of an inventor held us on another evening, when R. Buckminster Fuller described his Dymaxion House and the theories behind it. . . . This happy home offers the mechanical ingenuity of a robot and the qualities of an Arabian night fantasy. As it can be taken down in several hours, mobility is one of its chief virtues. Undergraduates quizzed Mr. Fuller on his physics but were unable to stump him.

The informal chatter of Louis Untermeyer is appealing to students and hence a large turnout appeared to hear that gentleman speak on various forms of literature and read and explain some of his own work. We would like more men of his wit and humor.
