Even with the possibility of being accused of repeating too many times, we are taking the liberty of reprinting an article from the Congregationalist and Herald ofGospel Liberty:

"Dr. David E. Adams of Marietta hasbeen called to Mount Holyoke College asassociate professor of religion and beginshis work immediately. The position wassuddenly left vacant when Dr. JamesMullenberg accepted the post of dean ofMaine University. Prof. Laura Wild, headof the department, thinks Mount Holyokeis very fortunate to be able to secure Dr.Adams as his successor. There are four inthe department, and its work stands highin the estimation of such graduate schoolsas Chicago, Union, and Hartford Seminaries.

"Dr. Adams comes very well equipped fora successful year as a teacher, having shownmarked ability in his courses at MariettaCollege in conjunction with his pastoralwork in the Marietta church. He is a NewEnglander, and returns to a territory wellknown and loved. He is the son of Professor Adams of Dartmouth, who long heldthe chair of Greek. He took his A.B. degreeat Dartmouth and his seminary trainingat Union. After graduation there he received an honorary fellowship for studyabroad, and then held pastorates in Easthampton and Ware, Mass., and in Farmington, Me. He is an intellectual preacher, with an exceptional gift in conducting services of worship, and will be of help in thechapel services at Mount Holyoke. Dartmouth honored him with a D.D. last June. While the change is a great loss to Marietta,Mount Holyoke and Massachusetts are tobe congratulated upon his return to NewEngland."

Those interested in books and first editions will enjoy the notice appearing in the November 2 issue of The Dartmouth.

"A particularly interesting collection ofmanuscripts and first editions from theworks of George Bernard Shaw is now onexhibition on the ground floor of BakerLibrary. The collection, a very valuableone, was loaned to the College by RalphE. Samuel '13.

"First editions of such well-known playsas 'The Doctor's Dilemma,' 'The Devil'sDisciple,' 'How He Lied to Her Husband''The Apple Cart,' and 'Androcles and theLion' form a part of the collection. Thelast named edition was given to HugoVallatin in 1916. There is also a manuscript of the first and second acts of 'Armsand the Man,' upon which many of Shaw'slonghand notations in regard to propertiesand settings of the scenes may be seen. Ofunusual interest are the many Shavianquips written as marginal notes."

The Dartmouth 1913 Club of New York held a small dinner at the Dartmouth Club on October 11,—Stoddard, Nutt, Stoughton, and Remsen. Stub Stoughton is now living at 295 Churchill Road, West Englewood, N.J.

The Yale Bowl proved to be the scene of a regular class pre-twentieth reunion. Delegates came from Worcester, Boston, White Plains, Brooklyn, Hartford, and waystations, and the weather was perfect. President John Remsen attended, and we held a committee meeting for the 20th Reunion between the halves with Clarence Meleney sitting or standing in. The Secretary and the Pishons toured down Friday to weekend with the Hayes at Orange. Chum always has an inspection job at Portal One, so the Secretary has the opportunity of taking Chris to the game each year!
