WHAT TO WEAR
FEBRUARY 1932

Hanover is sometimes awfully cold. And the snow may be both deep and damp. Of course, it's none of our business, but warm clothes a ski costume, perhaps, and at least heavy shoes—are really THE thing for the outdoor events.

Then there is this Queen of the Snows business. The judges frankly tell us that they rather prefer the girl who has a neat outdoor costume because somehow she does typify the spirit of Carnival. They make their choice at King Winter's Court, you know, and some statistical soul among them counted 437 outdoor costumes among some 500 of the guests who were there last year.

Besides, there is always skiing on the golf links with flood lights from 7:00 P.M. to 12: P.M. and skating on Occom Pond (flood lights, too). Or, if you prefer, how about a sleigh ride or a dog team excursion? (No flood lights.)
