In the first bout of the final round of the boxing tournament, the 115-pound event, G. L. Thomas '34, Waterbury, Conn., won from P. S. Hemphill, Jamestown, N. Y., by a technical knockout in the first round. In the 125-pound class, L. H. Marrero '34, of New Orleans, La., took a decision over E. B. Brown '34, of Newton Highlands, Mass. J. P. Searing '33, of Brooklyn, N. Y., defeated L. R. Maxwell '35, of New Rochelle, N. Y., in the 135-pound match. J. W. Knibbs 3d '34, of Mt. Vernon, N. Y„ and C. S. Parsons '35, W. Brighton, N. Y., fought to a four-round draw in the 145-pound bout. R. D. Cleaves '32, of Cherokee, lowa, outpointed A. B. Cline '35, Belmont, Mass., in the 155-pound class. Undaunted, however, Cline came back in the next bout, the 165-pound event, to score a technical knockout over F. H. Halvorsen '35, Brooklyn, N. Y., in the first round. F. X. O'Leary '35, Hartford, Conn., defeated R. E. Sweeney Jr. '34, Indianapolis, Ind., in the final bout.
