The Dartmouth College Concert Series was brought to a tremendous and never to be forgotten close with the appearance of Lily Pons, the world famous coloratura soprano of the Metropolitan Opera Company. Svelte, petite and vibrant, she completely captivated the capacity crowd which filled Webster Hall to overflowing. Even the window sills were crowded with student faces, eager to get a glimpse of the singer.

As if to substantiate the glowing words of praise that were heaped upon its head, in our last column, the Jack-o-Lantern startled the campus by appearing with the first really original issue which has been given to the world for over three years. It came in the form of a "Catalogue Number" and was a complete and successful parody of the official college catalogue even to the map of Hanover which the fostering administration .has inserted in their brochure to guide green freshmen through the maze of campus buildings.
