The Nugget suddenly burst forth last week with a program which is unquestionably the best of the current year. With "The Animal Kingdom," "Cynara," "A Farewell To Arms" and "Strange Interlude" within a week, the curricular work of the college was accorded the interest which might be expected under the circumstances.

Another attempt to add a spark of gaiety to the usually dull pre-exam period was made by Harvey Cohn, freshman track coach, with his presentation of what he called a "Novelty Night." The program included boxing, wrestling, a tug-of-war, tap dancing and singing. Every section was taken care of by capable performers. Fifteen hundred people attended and paid twenty-five cents apiece to a fund which went to the Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital. This entertainment was doubly welcome on a week-end when the athletic teams were playing games away from home.
