Charles A. Peters Jr. '38, of Amherst, Mass., died of pneumonia at Dick's House on April a, after a confinement there of a week. He was the son of Prof. Charles A. Peters of Massachusetts State College and had been active this past winter in the affairs of the Dartmouth Outing Club. Peters prepared for Dartmouth at Amherst High School and Andover Academy. He was an exceptional student and had achieved Phi Beta Kappa grades for the first semester of his freshman year.

An automobile accident near Wilder, Vt„ on the night of April 6 resulted in the death of "Budge" Rood, 27, of Hanover, son of Mrs. Winona G. Rood and manager of the Rood eating club known to hundreds of Dartmouth men. Rood was rushed to the Mary Hitchcock Hospital where he died of internal injuries. Active in many Hanover benefits, he had served last year and this as a member of the general committee for the North Country Fair.
