Lately the movie seems to have come into its own at Hanover as an educational medium and a legitimate art form. The series of instructive foreign films such as Crime at Chatiment sponsored by the American Student Union marked the first step. Next came the College-sponsored archeological triumph, The Human Adventure, with free tickets being distributed to the faculty, and students in the departments of Art and Archeology, Classical Civilization, and Sociology. Now, sponsored by the Art and English departments, the development of the cinema art from earliest beginnings is being traced in ten weekly film programs in the new Dartmouth Hall. The next step can only be an invasion of the classroom itself.
