Tennis Fred Harris and Jack Nelson won the doubles in the N. E. Intercollegiate Tournament .... in the matches with Cornell, Eaton and Nelson won their singles—Eaton and Harmon the doubles Harris and Nelson christened the new gym courts by trimming the University of Minnesota duo Armstrong and Adams 2 to 1 in singles.

The thirteenth annual Junior Prom was a most successful week in spite of some rain—the inauguration of the new gym for the Promenade with the playing of the freshman mandolin club at intermission, the "Summer Bachelors" and the musical club's concert in Webster Hall, two victories on the oval 4-0 over Williams and 4 to 2 with Penn. State Many fraternities had house parties and all held dances during the week.

A freshman tennis team, a new department in athletics, was established with matches with Dean Academy in Hanover and with Andover at Andover The Gun Club defeated the sharpshooters from Barre, Vt„ 162 to 157 birds. Fred Harris first, Capt. Crowell second, and T. P. Miller third. .... The freshman baseball team started practice. Willard and Hallett "will do most of the slab work and Hogsett and Reber will fight it out for the backstop position."
