By virtue of superior teamwork and a devastating "spiking" attack, Sigma Chi fraternity romped to an easy victory over the Phi Psis in the fraternity volleyball finals. In spite of the scoring power of Bill McMurtrie '38 and Dick Keresey '38, the Phi Psis were unable to cope with the sparkling placements and spike shots of Dutch Holland '38 and Tom Macey '38. This championship, added to the other points rung up by Sigma Chi in other intramural competition puts them ahead in the race for the Point Trophy presented at the end of the year. Their nearest rival is Psi Upsilon, 10 points behind, while Phi Kappa Psi and Zeta Psi are tied for third position.

Eight fraternity teams officially opened the annual hockey contest. It is as yet too early in the season for much accurate prognostication, but on the evidence of the first games, it is apparent that Sigma Chi and Phi Gamma Delta, together with Zeta Psi and Beta Theta Pi, have the necessary makings.

Fraternity basketball has not yet reached the play-off stage. In the dorm leagues, Topliff seems to be at the head. The dorm and fraternity skating races are due to be run off very shortly.
