THE CHICAGO ASSOCIATION announces two Christmas holiday events which again promise to be very popular. The first is the undergraduate luncheon, an annual affair usually held between Christmas and the New Year, to which are invited all undergraduates and alumni in the Chicago area. A special program will be prepared. The second event will be a cocktail party around January first to which the alumni, their wives and lady friends are invited. Definite dates for both these events will be announced later to those on the Chicago Association mailing list.

The Fall season has seen a very enthusiastic turnout to the telegraphic football returns at Henrici's Restaurant. With almost a record crowd for the Yale game, the 33-0 victory stirred up a fiendish interest in the Princeton and Cornell games. Alumni of the opposition are invited to these returns too, all of which increases the tension. Bob McLeod '39 and Bill Morton '32 did most of the announcing while Fred Diehl '24 artistically drew charts of each game. Both Bob and Bill were particularly interesting announcers because of their intimate knowledge of Dartmouth plays and strategy. Between actual wire reports they commented on the players and opponents, their strengths and weaknesses. Much better than listening to the radio, we'd say!

The Association is continuing its daily luncheons at Henrici's, second floor, and monthly luncheons at the University Club on the second Wednesday of each month. Among the speakers at the University Club have been Judge Gutknecht, well known in Chicago, and Roger Dunn, Secretary of the Chicago City Manager Committee. Other popular speakers will be scheduled for future meetings.

The secretary asks new men in Chicago and those who change their address to notify him.
