Last month we reported the adoption of Peddy Miller by the Iroquois Indians. We were mistaken. He was adopted by the Onondagas and made a chief of the Iroquois. His Indian name is "One Who Knows," which is quite appropriate. Among the honors recently bestowed on Peddy is the "Order of the White Lion," conferred by President Benes of Czechoslovakia by the Czecho-Slovakian minister in Washington.

The first call for the 40th reunion went out on December 18. At this date, January 3, 1939, twenty-five have returned cards indicating that they will be present with wives and other members of their families, making forty-six persons in all. Let me urge on you the importance of an early response to this first call. Reunion arrangements are complicated and exacting, and we cannot possibly arrange for your comfort and entertainment unless we know well in advance who and how many are coming. DO IT NOW.
