THE DARTMOUTH CLUB OF NASHUA took advantage of the spring recess to hold its annual meeting and election of officers at the Nashua Country Club on April 5. An excellent turn-out of about sixty-five included half a dozen undergraduates and about as many candidates for admission. Father and son combinations were prominent, the honors of the evening in this regard going to Dr. H. O. Smith 'B6 and his son Dr. D. G. Smith '17, while the latter's son Bob, now at Kimball Union Academy preparing for Dartmouth, was kept away by a broken leg.

Officers for the year were elected as follows: President, Edmund B. Downey '30; Vice President, Donald W. Alexander '35; Secretary, H. D. Stillman '17; Treasurer, Richard G. Pike '32.

At the last minute, our retiring President Norm Crisp '21 was unable to be with us and the meeting was presided over by our new President Ed Downey.

The Club observed a minute of reverent silence in tribute to Craven Laycock and sent a message of sympathy to Mrs. Laycock.

Dave Heald '42 made a number of converts to the pleasures of the Outing Club with his story of Dartmouth's development at Moosilauke. Art Brown '43 described some of the difficulties of a student in getting from Beirut to Hanover in war times.

Professor Allen R. Foley '20 brought the spirit of the College to us in his talk on "Dartmouth Changed yet Unchanging."

Outing Club and football movies brought the evening to a successful close.
