THE Dartmouth Secretaries Association will hold its 36th annual meetings in Hanover on Friday and Saturday, May 10 and 11. At that time secretaries of the various alumni classes and associations will be guests of the College for the week-end. H. Philip Patey '98, president of the Association, will preside at the sessions.

Following the opening luncheon Friday noon at the Hanover Inn, where Dean Bill will speak, the Association will hold its first business session in the 1902 Room of Baker Library that afternoon at 2:30. Members will adjourn at 4:30 for the informal tea which President and Mrs. Hopkins will give at the President's House for secretaries and their wives. The annual dinner will be held Friday night in Thayer Hall, with President Hopkins, Mr. Patey, and Thomas W. Braden Jr. '40, secretary of the senior class, as speakers. The final business session will be held Saturday morning, at which time new officers will be elected. Secretaries of alumni clubs and associations will hold a special luncheon at the Hanover Inn Ski Hut on Saturday noon, at which Donald G. Mix '21, secretary of the Dartmouth Club of Worcester, Mass., will lead a discussion of common problems.

Saturday evening an informal party will be held at the Ski Hut, where Jack Durrance '39 will show colored pictures of the Himalayan K-a expedition, of which he was a member along with two other Dartmouth undergraduates. Secretaries will have golfing privileges and will also be guests at. the Dartmouth-Holy Cross track meet, the Dartmouth-Pennsylvania lacrosse game, the Dartmouth-Rutgers crew race, and the Dartmouth-Harvard freshman tennis match.

Speakers at the business sessions will be Prof. Herbert F. West '22, who will discuss the Friends of the Dartmouth Library; Harold P. Hinman '10, who will present the report from the Alumni Council and will also discuss the Group Subscription Plan; Carl F. Woods '04, who will discuss athletic affairs; Prof. Herbert W. Hill, who will describe Hanover Holiday plans; Prof. Francis J. Neef, whose talk will deal with financial aid policies and problems; Albert I. Dickerson '30, who will discuss the Alumni Fund for 1940; Dean Lloyd K. Neidlinger '23, who will speak on administrative-undergraduate relations; Osmun Skinner '28, who will present the report of the special committee on Dartmouth films; Sidney C. Hayward '26, editor, and Davis Jackson '36, business manager, who will report on the ALUMNI MAGAZINE; and Richard E. Pritchard '14, chairman of the Alumni Council Committee on Alumni Projects, who will report on summer class reunions. The Rev. Charles C. Merrill '94 will give the invocation opening the Association meetings.
