Frank Noyes has been elected president of the Twentieth Century Association, a prominent Boston organization chartered in 1895 at the instance of well-known people including Edward Everett Hale, John Fiske and others "to promote a finer public spirit and a better social order." The Association has had a long and successful record, but unfortunately the social order has shown a tendency to act up a little, and Frank, if he can contribute to getting it back to better than it was in 1895, will be entitled to the plaudits of a grateful world.

Sargent, who has recently sold his store, became a grandfather on October 4, 1940. The baby's name is Nancy White Sargent. Congratulations and best wishes both to grandfather and granddaughter. If you have a chance to drop in on Sargent, you will not only enjoy your visit, but come away with a feeling of uplift from the man. '97 was and is a great class.
