Two MONTHS MORE THEN HANOVER

A recent issue of the Boston Post carried a picture of Norm Russell, a past president of the Newburyport Rotary Club, with the comment that he had not missed a single meeting since the founding of the Club in 1923.

Bob Blood's daughter, Betty, is doing a splendid job in the publicity department of Colby Junior College. This institution has become a model of what Junior Colleges can accomplish and Betty is doing her share in informing the public of its aims and work.

The class extends its sincere sympathy to Bert and Hannah Twiss in the death of their son, Benjamin Rollins, Dartmouth 1934. Benjamin was coach of the Ski Team and instructor in Political Science at Hobart College and was a man of unusual personality and ability.

Bert is Professor of English at Rutgers University but at the present time holds a Major's commission in the Army at Fort Dix.

The New York Herald Tribune recently carried a story to the effect that Blanche and Lonnie Russ had purchased an "estate" in Dereen Grove, Stamford, Conn, and would shortly start the construction of their home.

Jack and Ruth Kingsbury are busier than ever these days with their school Merricourt in Berlin, Conn., for in addition to their regular pupils they are making a home for four European refugee children.

The firm of Gannett, Eastman and Fleming of Harrisburg, Pa. is this year celebrating its 25th anniversary. During that time they have served over twelve hundred clients in all kinds of engineering and construction work. Congratulations Frank.

The Chicago Herald-American is evidently one of those newspapers that caters not only to the intelligensia but also to morons, for they recently carried a series of pictures showing Robert M. Hutchins, president of the University of Chicago, lunching with Nat Leverone at some civic function. For an uneducated moron Nat

sure gets around. Word has just been received of the sudden death of Bug Gardiner in Louisville, Ky., where he has been General Manager in charge of the construction of an $lB,000,000 gun-powder loading plant. Further details will be given in the May issue of the MAGAZINE.

Are you one of the 103 classmates who have not yet answered the questionnaire? The 35th report isn't going to amount to much unless your reply is sent in soon.

Fund Contributors for 1940 Contributors: g 1 (69% of graduates). Total gifts: $2,654.82 (116% of objective) NATHANIEL LEVERONE, Class Agent.
