The Class has suffered a great loss in the death of Arthur W. Chapin. Over the years his "Green Messenger" has been most interesting and entertaining. In recent years his health has not been too good but he never missed an officers' meeting in Hanover nor a class luncheon in Boston. Walter Powers attended his funeral and flowers were sent by the Class. Be sure to read the obituary by Francis Childs.

Students of the Amos Tuck School gave a luncheon for Nat and Martha Leverone in Hanover on the day before the Harvard game. At the lunch they were shown a portrait of Nat which was presented to the School by the National Automatic Merchandising Association. I did not see Nat at the Harvard game but did see the both of them at the Columbia game.

At the Cornell game in Hanover I did not see any '06er but I talked with FrancisChilds and also had a good visit with Lorraine Edgerton and Alma Milham.

Bob Adriance writes that he hopes that every member of the class will read "Before Many Witnesses," the life of Howard JamesChidley. It is an inspiring story of what he accomplished and the many honors given him. I have an extra copy which I will be glad to send to the first one who applies.

In addition to celebrating the New Year Arthur Cragin and Leigh Martin will celebrate their natal day.
