A clipping from a local paper told of the severance in St. Johnsbury of the law firm of Conant and Parker, caused by the continuing ill health of our David.
By the time this issue will be in print, E. J. Bugbee on September 15th will have introduced to the Rotary Club in White River Junction, R. L. O'Brien, the speaker of the day. O'Brien expects to pass the winter in Washington, D. C.
Will one of our freshmen ball team let the Secretary know what position was played by Hobbs? He wishes to relay this to his daughter Miss Beatrice May Hobbs of Newburyport whom the Secretary saw in August.
The Secretary believes each classmate will experience the same happy thrill that followed the opening of a censored envelope from Honolulu containing in addition to a generous check from Sid Walker one of his business cards on which was typed "All well and comfortable."
By the use of a little carefully conserved gasoline the Secretary and family were able to call on the Grays at their beautifully located summer home at Cape Elizabeth and to see the Healds whose home in Scarboro, Me., is but a stone's throw from Route One.
