The Secretary regrets to confess that the list of his news-furnishing classmates for this issue is limited to one member only, Henry Austin, but hopes that in the May issue Austin will have to share the honor with numerous other members of the class.

Henry writes, with his usual modesty, that he continues as one of the champions of "bowling on the green" and is ready to take on a "bout" with any aspirant, which is truly wonderful, particularly for a man of his years. He reports that his grandson, Robert, is still in service at Fort Eustis and that he has earned his promotion to "Corporal"; he also writes that the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Florida holds its annual dinner on Thursday evening, March 5 th, which will be presided over by Judge Cleaveland, with Kelly 'B6 and Gage '87 as enthusiastic endorsers, and that Mrs. Edwin B. Frost will, as usual, give an afternoon tea to all Dartmouth graduates and their friends. The passing of Emerson Rice '87 brings a special feeling of sadness to those of us of the "roaring 80s" who, under his leadership, met at the annual dinner at the City Club of Boston after the Dartmouth-Harvard game; he had successfully promoted this enjoyable function for many years.

The obituary notice of our late classmate, "Life" Philbrick, with his picture, appears in the Necrology of this issue.
