The leading citizens of Chicago recently tendered a dinner to Nat Leverone, as a testimonial to his remarkable accomplishments as salvage director of the State of Illinois.

Rep. Everett M. Dirksen of Illinois paid tribute to Nat's work in a statement before the House of Representatives, and also entered into the Congressional Record an editorial from a Chicago newspaper praising his services.

Oliver Cromwell dropped in to see me recently. His daughter, who is head of the Urban League in Englewood, N. J., and also a teacher at Hunter College, was married on October 2.

Dan Hatch is president of the Quebec Association of Dartmouth College Graduates.

Tubby Laton reports that he is busy with induction board and casualty station work, and teaching and lecturing at the Medical School.

Annie Moore has joined the Grandfathers Club as his son Richard has a daughter born May 15, 1942. His daughter Rachel was married to Paul S. Shaw, Dec. 20, 1942.

Ned Herr's son is with the 85th Mountain Infantry Ski Troops, Camp Hale, Colo.

Halsey Edgerton, in addition to his other duties, is president of the Northfield (Vt.) National Bank.

Ray Cutting is now living at 11 School Street, Northfield, Vt.

A letter from Willis Howe advises that he and Mrs. Howe are back in Guatemala after a four-months stay in Texas. This lengthy stay was due to the fact that Mrs. Howe was in the hospital in Galveston suffering from about every deficiency disease known to medicine, including beri-beri, pelagra, and scurvy.

Art Meservey reports that outside of supervising 1100 students in the elementary physics laboratory and keeping the weeds out of a large victory garden, he has little to do. Ellen Meservey was married in April to Capt. J. E. Gellerman, an officer at the Lincoln (Nebr.) Air Base.
