It was with deepest regret that we learned that another of our classmates, Kim Urion, had given his all. Kim, a Navy Ensign, was killed when a torpedo bomber he was ferrying to the west coast crashed in Tennessee. The class extends its heartfelt sympathy to Kim's family.
Ray Zrike writes to say that he, Chuck Richardson, Ed Rehurek, and Bob Gifford are all Midshipmen at Harvard Business School. Fred Heidner and Buzz Brenner are Ensigns taking a four months course at Harvard. Walt Burke is a Midshipman at Columbia after almost a year as an enlisted man Len Landry's father relays news that Len sent from Kiska where, separated from his company, he was on reconnaissance and living on abandoned Jap food. Joel Coffin is in Len's outfit, the 87th Mt. Inf Jim Bodine is at the Big Spring, Texas, Bombardier School. A card comes from Alan Howard, in the 419 th Night Fighter Squad, advising that his address is now c/o Postmaster, San Francisco. Wally Benjamin is stationed at Peterson Field, Col Bob Gilchrist is at Aberdeen, Md. in an Army Specialist School studying engines John Handwerg is in A.S.T.P. at the University of lowa.
Frank Behrle and Wiley Hitchcock were among those I bumped into at the Yale game. Wiley is an ASTP, studying Japanese, and has Nobu Mitsui as one of his instructors. I heard via an extensive grapevine telegraph, which reached me at Northampton, that Dick Whiting may soon be doing the same thing. Dick wrote last from the U. of Miss, and told of escorting six Southern belles at one time during a part of a weekend in Memphis.

In the Nov. and Dec. issues of Harper'sMagazine there is a complete story of the adventures of the crew of the Coast Guard yawl Zaida—of which Ward Weimar was a member—in the storms of the Atlantic. Ward is now the navigator of the vessel, and had command during a recent series of gales off the New Jersey Coast.
Ham Rowan and Jean Tanch, daughter of Prof. Tanch, were married in October and are living in Motave, Calif. Chuck Secor and Pauline Holcomb of San Diego were also married in October. Both are students at Stanford, Chuck in the med. school.
