. We were glad to attend the Annual Meeting of the Dartmouth Secretaries Association at the University Club of Boston, April 10th. It was a very successful meeting, largely attended by over eighty (80) Secretaries, Class Agents and Treasurers, but somehow there was not quite the same atmosphere as usual which, of course, could not be expected under present conditions.

We missed the Hanover air and the inspiration always produced by a renewed contact with the old familiar surroundings and memories of the past.

"Hoppy," as usual, was fine—at his best, and the story of the present and future needs of the College was most enlightening and impressive and the response of the loyal Alumni to the Alumni Fund will no doubt be satisfactory, but we missed the opportunity of the usual trip to Hanover and a restful break in our daily routine, along with the invigorating visit to the Old Town we all hold so dear. Since, under existing wartime conditions, the gods have decreed otherwise, let us hope our future meetings may be held back in the old surroundings after the war is over.

As usual, George M. Davidson of Oak Park, Illinois, responded promptly with his usual generous gift to the Alumni Fund and with only three of us left, we hope to exceed our quota as we did last year.

"Davie," a retired Chemical Engineer, rep orts nothing new about himself. Has been home all winter helping War Fund Drives and attending meetings of various technical societies in Chicago, with- which he is connected. Says he has no plans for the summer and is busy at present planting his Victory Garden.
