"Duckie" Drake writes me that Bill Howard dropped in on him in Pittsburg and they had a most interesting visit reviewing old times. He says Bill has the same slender figure he had in college. Bill .was for many years in the Trust Department of the Chase National Bank in New York and knew enough to retire three years ago. Since that time he has traveled, still with an eye to business, taking trips to the West Indies and just returning last spring from the Yukon. Bill hasn't attended a class Reunion since our tenth. We hope to see him at our next round-up.

"Duckie" is very busy working with the Petroleum Industry War Council, consulting with the British Oil Mission and, I hope, the Russians, figuring out world wide arrangements on the production and supply of petroleum products. He has two sons-in-law in the Navy and a third piloting a Thunderbolt in Italy. My only son-in-law has been piloting a Thunderbolt in England for twentytwo months and just returned this week for a month's furlough and is my daughter in the Seventh Heaven?

Charlie Dudley is still conducting a summer camp for girls and writes, believe it or not, that the avocation he enjoys most is skating. He hasn't increased his weight, can still eat beans, still lives in Hanover and loves it, has a fine wife who does most of the work; has five children and four grandchildren. That is a happy picture and we remember his fine wife and think she must have the vitamins.

P. P. Edson has been in rather poor health but is better and is manager of Knickerbocker Village, quite a town-size place of 4000 people. He has been getting back to Hanover for his vacations. Funny how most of us are homing pigeons to this little town of Hanover!

I am in receipt of a postcard from the DARTMOUTH ALUMNI MAGAZINE which says:"George W. Elderkin '02 is the author of TheLenaion, Limaion and Boukoleion at Athens and The significance of the frescoes in theTriclinium of the Villa Item. Gentlemen of '02, I ask you why does he do these things?
