The class of '98 extends to President Hopkins its regrets over his resignation and its wishes for many happy years in his retirement after the long and brilliant administration which he gave to the College.
To John Sloan Dickey this class extends its greetings and promise of the same loyalty and cooperation it has given to his predecessors.
Jack Spring has done it again and the long record of this class in exceeding its quota for the Alumni Fund has been maintained. The class owes Jack a deep debt of gratitude for the fine work he did in accomplishing this fact. Our congratulations to Jack on his great work and the hope he will long continue as class agent.
Albert Smith reports that after a severe illness of a year ago he is now able to be at his office several hours a day and can walk on a pair of wobbly legs, but can do no stair climbing.
Bill Hewes expects to be at the Cosmos Club, Washington, D. C., through October and possibly part of November. He would welcome a call from any member of the class who may be in Washington at that time.
The Alumni Records Office has informed your secretary that the new address of Doc Nolan is 38 Montello St., Middleboro, Mass. Looks like Doc has retired to his ancestral home and away from the construction of subways, piers, wharfs, etc.
Dick Marcy reports that Florence is improv- ing, but very slowly. She has had a long tough pull of twenty-two months. They will be at Bay Island, Sarasota, Fla., after November 1, and for the winter and spring.
Bill and Evelyn Witte spent the summer at Whiteface Inn and Lake Placid Club on Lake Placid.
