Coincidently with their announcement of the 1945 football schedule, the DCAC formally announced the imminent return of Coach Tuss McLaughry, following his release from the Marine Corps on February 1. With a nine-game schedule (Holy Cross, Pennsylvania, Notre Dame, Brown, Syracuse, Yale, Princeton, Cornell, and Columbia) and uncertain material, Coach McLaughry has his work cut out for him. We should be able to sneak in the Green Bay Packers and Southern California there someplace Bob Callan '44, stellar Dartmouth shortstop, who finished college this fall following a stretch with the Marines, has been signed by the Buffalo Club of the International League. In his three years of varsity ball at Dartmouth, Callan batted .367, .330, and .359 for a very respectable record Ed Wakelin '39, who played a good deal of end for Coach Blaik back in the athletic thirties, was featured in a recent national magazine article entitled "All-Americans in the Pacific." Ed is skipper of a PT boat, someplace in the Southwest Pacific.
