When ten members of Ninety-One celebrated their 55th Reunion, no word had reached the secretary that Francis M. Banfil had passed away on June 14. Through the kindness of Bishop Dallas of New Hampshire, the secretary was able to send out belated notices of the death of the classmate. A short sketch of Banfil will be found in In Memoriam.
During the summer the secretary called on Heald in Scarboro and Gray at his summer home at Cape Elizabeth.
Heald was unable to attend the Reunion as he had been taken up with the work of completing the position of Superintendent of Schools, which he had held so many years in Scarboro.
Gray had undergone a slight surgical operation and felt it inadvisable to go to Hanover in June, especially as he had been unable to obtain quarters at the Inn.
Tewksbury tells he has been treasurer of the Congregational Church in Randolph, Vt., for fifty-two years, succeeding his father, Amos B. Tewksbury, who served thirty-eight years, and having a grandfather, Amos W. Tewksbury, who was treasurer of the Presbyterian Church in New Boston, N. H., for 16 years. The total of 106 years as church treasurers must constitute a record without precedent.
Secretary and Treasurer, Suite 505, 60 Congress St., Boston 9, Mass.
