It is with a feeling of trepidation that I attempt to fill the shoes of Charlie McAllister in acting as your class secretary. Charlie has done a magnificent job for the class and I am sure all hands join me in a "Wah Hoo Wah" tor him. He has kept the news flowing and the Reunions flowing as very few members of the class could have done. I only hope that you letter writers will keep me informed of your activities and those of our non-letter writing brethren so that we can continue the column so well carried on by Charlie.

Actually in this, my first report to '31, 1 have little news to give to you. You who could not get to Hanover for the 15th have had a chance to cover it in the August issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE. It was a grand time and could have been better only if more of you guys and gals had been there to enjoy it. Incidentally you have all received Bill Schuldenfrei's letter. The sectional get-togethers and picnics sound damned good. Bill will appreciate a check from you and the sooner the better.

Now for what news we have: Lt. and Mrs. Gene Willson from Torrance, Calif., spent a few days at the Hanover Inn in April, as did George Nickum and his wife from Seattle, Wash., in May. Too bad they couldn't have stayed over for the Reunion.

Phil Holden has been appointed manager of the Premium Collection Department of the New England Mutual Life Insurance Co., of Boston. Phil and Mrs. Holden with their two daughters, Deborah and Meredith, live in Wellesley Hills, Mass.

Ernie Moore writes that he stopped in to see Peg and Ed Brummer at their Woodbound Inn a while back. Ernie says their blonde husky twins will be definite Dartmouth material in a few years. Angi and Ernie are planning to spend the weekend at Woodbound when they go up to the Harvard game in Hanover. Rod Dodge has an executive position with a textile outfit in New York and is living on Long Island. Bob Ryan has hit the Boston "Hollywood News" columns twice recently. His wife Jessica has her second novel ExitHarlequin being published. Bob will be seen in Trail Street in a western costume we might adopt for our Twentieth.

How about some news now for future columns? We want to hear from all of you. Dick Henry should have some first-hand information from Tientsin, China. George Phillips should have plenty to teil us from the American Consulate in Geneva, Switzerland. Remember that we can always use some good pictures.

Among the many we wanted to see in Hanover but missed were: Larry Allen, Hal Andres, Bob Barker, Dave Bender, Bob Baumrucker, Bill Benger, Bob Biesel, Hal Bond, Sey. Burge, Ed Burrill, Rog. Burill, Ralph Charlton, Dick Chase, Joe Choate, Len Clarke, Joe Clough, Johnny Cogswell, Spence Cram, Paul Crehan, Dick Cuckor, Jack Cunningham, and we are only through the "c's." How about a note from each of you?

When you get up Hanover way, summer or winter, be sure to stop in to see Bunny Bertram at Suicide Six, Woodstock, Vt. He has one of the most beautiful spots in that neck of the woods.
