Our classmate, ..Selden Staples, died at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston on March 29. He suffered from leukemia, an obscure blood disease. Staples came to Dartmouth from the Amherst, N. H., High School, and being somewhat older than most of us was much more serious minded. He worked his way through college and was a very conscientious student. For many years he was the proprietor of a variety store in Roxbury, Mass, and retired a little over a year ago.

Robert Frost—Ticknor Fellow in Humanities-represented Dartmouth College at Miami, when Winston Churchill was awarded an honorary degree by the University of Miami on February 26.

Those members of 1896 who have not sent in the reply cards for our Fiftieth Year Reunion should do so as soon as possible so that your class secretary can make proper reservations for you.
