The big event—as far as 1925 is concerned- of the Class Agent's dinner in New York last month was a presentation to Doug Archibald for his record-breaking three years as 1925's Head Man for the Alumni Fund, and for all your generous contributions.

As you'll remember, our class dug into their pants for an all-time high of $13,222. This put us first in the 20 "youngest" classes. We old men leave the "youngest" group in 1946 and get into tougher competition with some really old geazers.

From Sid Milnor: "I have just returned to Williamsport, Pa., from Manila, Okinawa and Japan where I completed almost two years as Field Director for the Red Cross. Prior to this Pacific work I was in the ETO attached to the 30th Division. Nort Canfield was on the Queen Mary when we returned from Europe and I saw Ross Pearl in London. I joined the 30th in Holland prior to the Rhine crossing so got in on the mad chase across Germany as far as Magdeburg, 50 miles from Berlin. We stopped at the Elbe while the Russians finished the thing.

"Shortly after V-E Day some of us attempted to go the remaining 50 miles into Berlin. We were on one of Hitler's super highways and could have made the trip easily, but the Russians said nix. I expect to be in Hanover in July. I surely don't want to miss that shindig."
