HEADING OUR CONTENTS for June are four articles on desirable U. S. foreign policy in four different parts of the world. Together they make up the fourth symposium in our series, So Little Time, dealing with vital national and international issues of the day. We are especially proud of this month's installment, for we believe all four articles to be superlatively good and exactly the sort of readable, thought-provoking material that the MAGAZINE should bring to its readers in this series. The first of the four articles, by Prof. John C. Adams, Prof. Oliver J. Fredriksen '16, Prof. Wing-tsit Chan, and Victor G. Borella '30, will be found on Page 13.

Players' Progress, on Page 23, has been written by Henry B. Williams in deserved tribute to The Dartmouth Players, who carried on nobly throughout the war. Prof. John Finch of the English Department, in A Hard Job ofEducation, on Page 27, gets off his chest a dissenting view on young officers during the war, and he was in a key spot to observe them. Prof. Herbert F. West '22 brings his Laureled Sons to a close with a summary of known awards to Dartmouth men, on Page 21, and also as author of Hanover Browsing he presents a revision of his popular Dartmouth Bookshelf, starting on Page 25.
