The fall outing of the Dartmouth Club of Cincinnati was held at the CAC Club in Ludlow, Kentucky. All who attended found the Green D which located the picnic grounds and when your secretary arrived there was already a rapid-fire baseball game in progress. There was plenty of beer available on the lower level and the only difficulty encountered were the concrete steps leading to the bar and back up to the baseball diamond. We were all pleased to see so many of the incoming freshmen attending the outing and hope that they received a preview of Dartmouth goodfellowship. After the ball game more beer and excellent food together with "Kentucky's best" 3-piece orchestra.
Those fortunate enough to attend were listed by Carolyn Johnstone as follows: Gordon Hood, Ken Heusinkveld, Jack and Agnes Herrick, Sherman Davis, Jack and Kay Parker, Lew and Carolyn Johnstone, Franklin and Jane Loveland, Sandy and Mary Courter, May Fecheimer and Nancy Beernham, John Steele, William and Muriel Fischbach, Jim and Betty Trequair, Paul Englehart, Dick and Daphne Keys, Pete Link and Liz Cramer, John and Louisa Egbert, Jack and Sophie Bogdan, Herb and Eleanor Simpson, Paul and Mary Hackstedde, Jay Wolf, Gordon and Marjorie Walker, Betty Jane Smith, Si Nielsen, Bill and Trudy Harris, Grant Hesser, Howard and Evelyn Fischbach, Hart and Martha Fisher, Hass and Floss Warrener and Don Hinkley.
The above list does not include the guests from such schools as Ohio Wesleyan, Princeton, University of Cincinnati, University of Missouri, etc. We all wish to thank Jack Herrick for his excellent work of preparation and your secretary wishes to thank those on the telephone committee for following up the reservations.
The Club has received the following list of new members in the Cincinnati area: Roger Read, Dr. Roger Morris Jr., Melbourne Lewis Jr., Frank O'Brien Jr., Lt. David Spencer, David Heusinkveld Jr., John Steele and Dudley Nearing Jr.
