Our deep south summer doldrums having been dissipated by our annual September hurricane, the fall and spring sessions of monthly luncheon meetings got under way at Arnaud's Restaurant, on September 21, amid the beguiling aroma of crepes suzettes and pecheflambe. What was intended to be a gala send off of undergraduates living in the New Orleans area, turned out to be a rousing gabfest between Art Graham '24, Bob Elsasser '21 and George Foster '21. Of the three undergraduates who live in New Orleans, only Marvin Durning '49 could join us. Hunter White '51 was away vacationing at his family's summer home in Orford, New Hampshire, and Andrew Pincus '51 was cramming in several weeks of big city sins in New York before heading for the Hanover hills
The club's regular luncheon meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month. But New Orleans being the busy party town it is, particularly during October, November and December, those who may wend their way to the Crescent City during these latter three months, will find the bull sessions going full tilt on the second Thursday of each month.
In addition to our undergraduate guest, members present were: Arthur S. Graham '24, Robert W. Elsasser '21, George A. Foster '28, Richard Bee '33, H. Eustis Reily '42 and Brunswick G. Deutsch '35.
All of us look forward to the pleasure of meeting with Herluf V. Olsen, Dean of Tuck School, who has advised us that he will be in New Orleans on October 13.
Word was received from Carleton McMackin 'si, formerly of Gulfport, Mississippi, that he has moved to Florida and that his permanent address is P. O. Box 1562, West Palm Beach. (Winter vacationers please note.)
Robert B. Moseley '04 has left New Orleans for the hubbub of Washington, D. C., where his permanent address is 2632 Garfield Street, N.W. , , „
Dr. Alan Leslie '34 has heeded Horace Greeley's words and has packed his medical kit and charming wife, Fannie Beth Hall, off to Los Angeles, where we understand he is to become Chief of Medicine at some Veterans Administration or Public Health Service hospital.
