Dinner meeting at the Hotel Seneca, October 21. First order of business was the election of officers: Sam Caldwell '38, President; Dick Heer '40, Vice-President; Ed Atkinson '28, Secretary; Bob Tucker '27, Treasurer.

Wish many more o£ you Dartmouth folks could have shared our enjoyment in the talk given by Dick Goldthwait '33, one of our members. Dick has followed in his father's footsteps in becoming a professor of geology, and has been here at O.S.U. for two years.

Last March Dick was granted leave of absence to become geologist of the much-reported Reynolds flight to locate the world's highest mountain in interior China, on the edge of Tibet. You'll remember how penmagnate Reynolds and pilot Odin thoroughly messed up the organization of things and came near creating an international incident. What we hadn't fully appreciated was that advanceguard Goldthwait was left stranded in the remote city of Lanchow. His tale of the expedition, his stay in Lanchow, and his fortunate "escape" back to this country had all the makings of a real adventure-thriller. And the many fine color slides that illustrated Dick's talk were a wonderful supplement. An outstanding evening's entertainment—Dick should have a booking agent line up a tour for him!

Those present, with a special bow to our out-of-towners from Alexandria, Delaware, Gambier: Prof. Al Chandler '08, Al English '15, M. R. "Shorty" Gray '15 (Alexandria, Va.), Searles Morton '17, Gerry Baron '20, Ken Sater '21, Milo Clapp '25, Frank Bailey '26 (Gambier), Russ Webster '26, Ed Atkinson '28, Bob McClure '29, Bill Brown '33,, Dick Goldthwait '33, Sam Caldwell '38, Bob Ross '38 (Delaware), Dick Heer '40, Bill Pettit '48.
