Lord knows, there's been enough snow for the dog teams to get through all of last month, but they don't seem to have stopped off here. News is at the lowest ebb in years, and it behooves any of you who have done something noteworthy to let this department know about it posthaste.

Had a nice telephone conversation with Clarke Mattimore the other day. He was in Hanover to deliver words of wisdom to the boys at Tuck and to visit with his freshman son. He reports that our worthy Reunion Chairman in the Baltimore area is quite enthusiastic about prospects for our 30th this June. The initial propaganda sounds good, and I am sure a goodly number of the faithful will be there to attend the occasion.

The Frank E. Gannett Newspaper Foun- dation reports the election of Bruce F. Olson, board chairman of Sundstrand Corporation as a trustee of the foundation. The Gannett Foundation owns 34 percent of the Gannett Co. stock and has made grants of more than $5 million to educational and charitable institutions in the last 30 years. Bruce is still residing at the same old place in Rockford, Ill. He is a member of the National Machine Tool Builders' Association, Machinery and Allied Products Institute, Oil Heat Institute of America, Aircraft Industries Association of America, and the Rockford Chamber of Commerce.

Word has filtered up this way from San Antonio of a visit during the month of February to the Providence area of one DanMarshall, back in the silver business again and attending a sales conference at the home office. A small luncheon gathering will have taken place in the Bean City by the time this sheet hits the streets.

Elsewhere in this issue will be found the sad news of the passing of Dick Kieselbach; I suppose we've got to expect these things to happen and more and more as time goes back, but it always comes as a distinct shock to friends and classmates.

Quite obviously, the old shoe box didn't have much in it this month; better pickings in the future, I hope. Keep those dates in June open, and come on up here while the skiing is still good.
