Activity continues at a high level this fall among the alumni members of the Philadelphia area. Our mailings announcing coming events go to some 450 names on our mailing list. Between fifteen and twenty men manage to show up at the Princeton Club for Tuesday luncheons and Dartmouth Night found a goodly number gathered for cocktails and dinner October 15. A round table discussion made this one of the most interesting meetings of the year.

A group of alumni traveled to New York on Tuesday, October 25, for a joint dinner with New York's interviewing committee chairmen. The following men from this area attended and heard interesting talks by Bob Hage '35 and Al Dickerson '30, Director of Admissions: Ernie Wright '28, Herb Heston '34, Jack Heston '28, Jack McLaughlin '28, Bill Pugh '25, DeLong Monahan '24, Steve Rutherford 'OB, Sherry Baketel '20, John Flanagan '28, Joe Flounders '47, Cornie Miller '39.

Friday evening, November 19, we're planning the final football rally of the very successful 1948 season. A dinner and smoker will be held at the Princeton Club (a wonderful spot to warm-up the night before the Princeton game!) and we expect to show movies of the Penn and Yale games of this year.

The date has now been set for the Dartmouth College Glee Club to give a concert in Philadelphia Tuesday evening, March 29. We will announce time and place at a later date, also expense involved. What we would appreciate now from Philadelphia alumni who are interested in this concert is whether to include a dance, which will naturally add considerably to the expense.

During Christmas vacation we will hold our annual Dartmouth Undergraduate Father and Son Luncheon at either the University Club or one of the larger hotels in Philadelphia. Also it is rumored that it won't take much persuasion to have Steve Rutherford '08 handle another of hi- famous "Tom and Jerry" parties sometime during the holiday season.

Fellows, as you read this and get an idea as to what is going on among the Dartmouth alumni in this area, get on the bandwagon and become an active member of our Association by sending a check for $10.00 to our good treasurer, Herm Trefethen '26, 10 Meadowbrook Circle, St. David's, Pa. An associate membership for those who cannot take full advantage of the facilities of the Princeton Club sells for just $3.00!

Alumni Council Rating Sheets are arriving in great quantity for the entering class of '53, so if you can spend some time in this worthwhile interviewing, please call our President, Ernie Wright, (BA 9-4100) and offer your services.
