Summer is here and the Philadelphia Alumni Association will have very little to report in the way of activity until that big smoker and dinner planned before the Penn football game in early fall. However, as in the past, every Tuesday noon at least a dozen of us will gather in the Princeton Club for our informal luncheons and bull sessions.
It gives us great pleasure to report that Richard C. Colton '25 will have a book published by Funk & Wagnalls Co. about September 1. The title of this 300-page volume is Practical Handbook of Industrial TrafficManagement and Dick, who is general traffic manager, RCA Victor Division Radio Corporation of America, spent some six years producing same.
Our former president Dr. George A. Hahn '32, newly-elected secretary of the Obstetrical Society of Philadelphia, will have a chapter "Newer Methods of Management of the Abnormal Cervix" published in Surgical Clinicsof North America.
C. Kirk Liggett '36, specialized reporter for Dun & Bradstreet, is being promoted to the New York office about July 19. Kirk has been a very active member of our organization, attending practically all meetings and luncheons but since he'll commute to New York for the time being, we'll see him around.
Your secretary has an assistant in the person of Joe Flounders '43 so you fellows can expect to get many more mailings starting in the fall,''and who knows, we might even have the directory out by then!
Have wonderful vacations fellows and be prepared for plenty of Dartmouth alumni affairs as soon as the football season opens.
Secretary, 240 Conestoga Rd., Wayne, Pa.
