Carroll Langdon Flint died at Burlington, Vermont, September 26, after a long illness. "Silver," as "Jim" Van Horn nicknamed him, was one of the most popular members of '93, but during the years following our graduation very little has been heard of him except that he covered New Hampshire and Vermont as a traveling salesman. A later issue of the MAGAZINE will give more details in the In Memoriam section.

"Billy" Redenbaugh's winter address is Box 937, Boulder City, Nevada. A letter from him tells of activities in that city. Mrs. Redenbaugh and he are helping their daughter in the management of one of her branch stores in the "dam town of Boulder City, a beautiful little oasis in the desert; it gets very hot here in the summer (110° to 120°) so we shall migrate back north in the spring to spend the summer at our home on San Juan Island." Their address then will be R.F.D. No. a, Box 7, Friday Harbor, Washington.

Word from Judge Edward Griffith says he attended the Vermont Dartmouth Alumni meeting at Earl and Dick's on Mendon Road, Rutland, late in October. About 70 attended. He noted that there were five men present who were in college with us.

Willis Sparhawk has written interestingly of a wooden chain made by "Sam" Phelps from part of the wood of the "Old Pine." How very pleasantly many will remember "Sam" Phelps and his sister, particularly those of us who roomed at the "Rood House." They were surely charitable in their consideration of our antics of those days.

Of interest to us of '93 is a double column illustrated story about Mrs. Lucius J. Mason in the January 4, Sunday issue of The St.Petersburg Times. Mrs. Mason sold her beautiful residence in the Driftwood Section of St. Petersburg several years ago and since then has designed, built and sold a number of distinctive homes. The story in The Times made very interesting reading.

Last, but by no means least, is the fact that your Secretary became the great-grandfather of a seven-and-a-half pound boy, born December 27, at Evanston, Illinois, and named Paul Louis Goelz. He is the son of the first grandchild of the class, Mrs. Edgar L. Goelz—nee Virginia Van Duesen—whose mother was Mary Louise Aborn.
