As reported last month, Luther Burbank has passed on, leaving a record of work well done. As a country doctor serving a large area and as a public servant of both that area and the State of Vermont, he acquired a large number of friends and a reputation for good deeds and efficient service. (See In Memoriam in this issue.)
Your secretary was again pleased this year to be able to meet Silly and Mrs. Jarvis and to visit with them during the Class Officers annual gathering at Hanover early in May. It is interesting that their grandson Peter Need of St. Marks School, Southboro, Mass., will enter Dartmouth in September, as will Foster Aborn of Providence Country Day School. Both boys have been accepted and their fond grandparents are expecting great things of them.
The Jarvises overwintered at Jarvis Hill, Claremont, N. H., making occasional trips to visit their children and grandchildren. The Aborns left St. Petersburg Monday, April 28, and were home at North Shrewsbury, Vt., the next day. Mail address is Cuttingsville, Vt.
