R-PHE TOWN OF HANOVER through its Citizens' Overseas Aid Committee has "adopted" the village of Argentan, France, to which it has already sent contributions of food, money and clothing. The Dartmouth Undergraduate Council contributed $200 to the committee and a special student drive for old clothing and money was conducted by a group headed by Harry M. Runyon '47 of Darien, Conn. Recommended by two world service organizations, Argentan, a community of 7000 in Normandy, was severely damaged by Allied land and air bombardment during the war. Members of the Hanover committee include Prof, and Mrs. Albert W. Frey 'so, Prof. Clyde E. Dankert, Mrs. Lewis Mumford, Edward H. Harte '45 and Philip E. Booth '47.
