ON MONDAY, JANUARY 5, THE DARTMOUTH CLUB of Philadelphia held its first postwar luncheon for alumni, undergraduates and fathers, at the Sylvania Hotel. Sixty-four attended the affair and were welcomed by JackMcLaughlin '28, President, who extended a cordial invitation for all to attend any of our informal Tuesday luncheons held at the Princeton Club. It was also announced that our Annual Dinner Meeting would be held in March with Dean Neidlinger as speaker.

Otto, Schumacher '49, Captain of the Varsity Crew, addressed the group on the activities of his sport and the coming prospects of the crew as far as competition is concerned. It was encouraging to the alumni present to learn of the interest shown by crew members in this sport despite present financial handicaps. Pete Larson '47, Captain of the Dartmouth Wrestling Team, said a few words regarding the matches held to date and prospects for the balance of the season. TomRinge '5O, number-one man on the Dartmouth Squash Team, brought the alumni up to date on his sport. It was good of these undergraduates to address the luncheon group informally and in the future we expect to reserve this Annual Luncheon for such talks by undergraduates in various college activities. However, next time fellows, we'll give you a little advance notice!
