Warren F. Daniell Jr. appeared in a group picture on the sports page of the April 20 issue of The Portland (Me.) Press Herald. He finished among the leaders in the 19th annual Portland Boys' Club five-mile road race. Apparently the boy is following in Dan's footsteps but without the snow shoes.
Don't forget Miner!
The Bill Manns are getting things in readiness for departure about May 1, on a month's vacation in England. It will be the occasion for a reunion with Betty's family. It is easy to imagine the pleasure and excitement, particularly on the part of Betty, with which the plans are being made.
I have not learned whether any from the class were able to attend the memorial service held for Troyer Anderson. I had a very nice note from Polly Anderson expressing appreciation for the flowers sent by the class. You will be interested to know that Troyer's son Kenneth, an undergraduate at Dartmouth, has made his letter in cross country and has won a full tuition scholarship. He is preparing for medicine.
On a very brief visit to New York in early April, I had a fleeting chat with ChuckCanfield. He was taking up hotel quarters in preparation for the gruelling ordeal of convention attendance.
Don't forget Dwight!
Recent mailings to Bruce T. Cunningham,John R. Salmonson and Horace V. Sullivan have been returned. Can anyone furnish current addresses for these men?
Ted Spiegel, Modie's son, is in the junior class at New Trier. That should mean Dartmouth by the fall of '49.
Don't forget Goldbeck!
At a luncheon in Chicago the latter part of March, apparently for fathers of undergraduates, 19.22 was represented by TedDavidson, Walt Gatzert, Gene Hotchkiss and Spic Saunders.
Give liberally to the Alumni Fund!
Louis Gluek is on the mend and able to put in a part of each day laboring for the brewing company that bears his name. Louis includes the 30th reunion in his long range planning.
Send $10 to Carroll Dwight for THE BOOK!

Send autobiography to Cec Goldbeck!
In June, Gene Hotchkiss completes two terms of two years each as a member for Chicago representing the Central States District on the Alumni Council. This means retirement for Gene because there are no third terms. In spite of the distance separating Chicago from Hanover, Gene has attended every meeting during his four years of membership on the Council. Always a valuable member, during his last two years he has been chairman of the Alumni Council Committee on Admissions and Schools, a very important assignment requiring close association with the Admissions Office in directing the interviewing of several thousand applicants by alumni committees spotted throughout the country. His services will be missed. Faithful in attendance, generous with his time and efforts, Gene has served the College well and in so doing has brought credit to the class.
In retirement, Gene will join Red Boyd (1938-1942) and Bob Booth (1941-1945) as Alumni Council Members Emeriti.
Have you neglected to heed Stan Miner's plea for the Alumni Fund? You still have time to beat the deadline if you act now.
